This part of Kata is known for gentle surf and fewer crowds. You’ll often see beginner surfers catching the small waves here.

Moving north, the sand is soft and warm beneath your feet. Along the tree line, Thai massage huts start to open for the day. A beachfront massage here costs just a few dollars—pure paradise. We pass a cluster of palm trees gently swaying in the morning breeze.

You’ll notice more open sand, ideal for laying out or a beach walk. This is a great spot for morning walk or sunset views. To the north, you can see the hills that separate Kata from Karon Beach. The scenery changes slightly—more rocks and occasional tide pools. Birds chirp in the trees above and the breeze picks up softly.
You might find shade under a palm and just sit for a while. There’s a calm and rhythm here that invites total relaxation. As we near the end of the beach, the view gets even more open.
You’ll see Karon Viewpoint in the distance—great for panoramic shots. Up the hill lies Kata Noi Beach, a quieter cove worth exploring.
